A Customized Vacuum Drum Filter Solution for Strong Acid Leaching Process

A customer from the mining industry recently contacted us for a continuous vacuum filtration system to separate solids from a strong acidic leaching solution.
The project involved using hydrochloric acid (HCl) to leach minerals from ore, followed by filtration to separate the solid residue from the valuable leaching liquid. Due to the highly corrosive nature of the process and the requirement for continuous operation, the customer needed a reliable filtration solution with corrosion resistance and fully enclosed operation.

Customer Requirements

• Application: Mineral leaching solid-liquid separation
• Material: Hydrochloric acid solution (HCl)
• Capacity: 0.03 m³/h
• Particle size: Around 10 microns or larger
• Operation: Fully enclosed continuous filtration system

The customer required a corrosion-resistant solution and requested confirmation regarding filter precision, equipment material, vacuum operation, pump selection, and maintenance.
