Crushing & Juicing Solution for an Australian Producer
Our client is an Australian manufacturer and distributor of bottled alcoholic beverages. As part of developing a agave-based product line, they needed a reliable and energy-efficient way to process cooked agave before fermentation.
The Challenge
The client required a compact processing solution capable of shredding or tearing cooked agave and extracting its juice, after which all raw materials would be recombined for fermentation.
Key requirements included:
- Material: Cooked agave — similar in texture to pineapple, but with more fibrous sections resembling sugarcane.
- Capacity: 250–500 kg per hour.
- Power Consumption: The client operates on an off-grid solar power system and required the equipment to stay within 3.6 kW.
- Budget: Under USD 5,000.
Our Solution
We recommended our 0.5 T/H integrated crushing unit, which combines a crusher and a juicer in a single compact system.
- Crusher Power: 1.5 kW
- Juicer Motor Power: 3 kW
This configuration meets the client's full requirements: it effectively handles the fibrous texture of cooked agave, delivers the required throughput of 250–500 kg/h, and keeps total power consumption aligned with their off-grid solar setup and budget.

Outcome
This type of equipment is an excellent fit for processing biological raw materials. By integrating crushing and juicing into a single unit, it reduces capital investment and installation space while making the process more convenient and efficient — helping the client move into a new beverage category without compromising their sustainability goals.
