Operating Instructions for Screw Juice Extractor
I. Preparation Before Operation
- Visual Inspection:
Check the overall condition of the equipment. Ensure that the frame, feed hopper, and juice collection tray are intact, and all connections are firm without any looseness. - Electrical Check:
Inspect the motor wiring for any damage and confirm that the protective cover is properly installed to avoid electric leakage risks. Verify that the motor power matches the equipment model (refer to the technical parameter sheet). - Adjustment:
Adjust the pressure head clearance according to the processing requirements of the fruits or vegetables to achieve an appropriate discharge rate. Check the filter screen (mesh size: 0.6–1.2 mm) to ensure it is clean and undamaged. - Cleaning:
Remove any residues or impurities from the feed hopper, screw chamber, and juice collection tray to ensure the equipment is clean and compliant with food hygiene standards.
II. Operating Procedure
- Startup:
Connect the power supply and start the motor. Confirm that the screw shaft rotates clockwise (viewed from the discharge outlet direction). Ensure the equipment runs smoothly under no-load conditions without abnormal noise or vibration. - Feeding:
Gradually feed pretreated (washed) fruits or vegetables—such as berries or pome fruits—into the hopper. Avoid feeding excessive amounts at once to prevent clogging. - Juice Extraction:
The material is conveyed and pressed by the screw shaft, and the juice passes through the filter screen into the collection tray. Collect the juice periodically. The pomace is discharged through the annular gap formed between the screw shaft and the pressure head. If the pomace is too dry or too wet, slightly adjust the pressure head clearance. - Shutdown:
After processing, stop feeding and allow the remaining material to be completely pressed out. Once no more juice flows out, switch off the motor power.
III. Precautions
- Safety:
Do not remove the protective cover or touch the rotating components such as the screw shaft or filter screen during operation to prevent injury. - Corrosion Prevention:
After processing acidic fruits or vegetables, thoroughly clean the equipment immediately to prevent corrosion caused by juice residue. Do not leave the machine uncleaned for extended periods. - Load Limit:
Do not process materials exceeding the equipment’s rated capacity to avoid motor overload or damage. - Daily Cleaning:
After each use, clean the accumulated juice and pulp with a nylon brush. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp tools to scrape the surface to avoid damaging the stainless-steel structure.
