Vibrating Screen for Lime Milk – A Smooth Journey to Order

1. Background: A New Pilot Plant in Brazil

A university in Brazil recently contacted us for a piece of equipment they had never used before. They were setting up a new pilot plant and needed a reliable vibrating screen to process a special material – lime milk. Since this was their first experience with such a machine, they wanted a complete solution that would meet their process requirements without any guesswork.Image

2. The Client’s Requirements

The customer’s needs were very clear:

  • Material: Lime milk with a solids content between 15% and 50%, having a consistency similar to a milkshake.
  • Capacity: 310 kg per hour.
  • Screening: Double‑deck screen with 40 mesh and 100 mesh.
  • Construction material: Stainless steel 304 for corrosion resistance.

What we recommend: 800‑type vibrating screen with two decks and three outlets.

To help them visualise the equipment’s performance, we provided some videos showing our machine handling similar materials. They gave them confidence that our design was suitable for their application.

3. Technical Clarifications

During the discussion, the client raised two important technical points.
First, they asked about adding an ultrasonic system. They believed that ultrasonic cleaning would improve the screening efficiency. However, we explained that ultrasonic is only effective for dry materials, not for liquid‑based slurries. They accepted this explanation right away.

4. Client’s Questions About Installation

The client then came up with two practical questions regarding the physical setup of the screen:

Q1: “The vibrating screen needs to be mounted on a concrete base, do you have any recommendations?”

Our answer:
The screen is designed with pre‑drilled mounting holes for expansion bolts. You can easily secure it to a concrete floor by drilling holes and fixing the bolts firmly. This provides a stable and vibration‑free operation.

Q2: “To match the height of our surrounding equipment, we may need to raise the screen by about 500 mm. Is that possible? What should we do?”

Our answer:
Yes, absolutely. Raising the screen is actually a good idea because it makes it easier to collect the processed material underneath.
Both questions were resolved quickly, and the client was satisfied with our practical suggestions.

5. A Smooth and Successful Order

After all technical points were clarified, the client felt fully confident in our solution. The order was placed without any further delays – a true example of how clear communication and technical expertise can turn an inquiry into a successful deal.
If the trial of this model performs well, they plan to purchase an industrial‑scale unit. We will keep a close watch on their progress and remain available for further support.
