Operation and Maintenance Instructions
I Introduction
Internal Fed Rotary Drum Screen is a purification device made of by fixing 0.02mm-10mm stainless steel wedge screens on the drum. It is used for solid-liquid separation through withholding solid particles in the sewage water. And the wedge wire screen can be cleaned in time by the rotation of the drum and the force of the backflushing during the filtration, so as to maintain a sound working condition.
Microfiltration is a method of mechanical filtration. It is suitable for separating the tiny suspended substances present in the liquid to the maximum extent and achieving the separation of solid and liquid. The difference between microfiltration and other methods is that the filter medium is particularly small, and with the centrifugal force of the screen rotation, at a lower water resistance, the flow rate is higher, so the suspended solids can be withhold.
This equipment is widely used in various applications where solid liquid separation
is required such as urban domestic sewage, paper, textile, printing and dyeing, chemical sewage, etc., to save the cost of sewage treatment. It is one of the best practical techniques for fiber recovery and wastewater treatment in wastewater.
II Equipment Structure a nd Working Principle
The Rotary Drum Screen is a mechanical filtering device consisting of main components such as the transmission, overflow water distributor, and flushing water device.
Structure and working principle:
The filter screen is made of stainless steel wire mesh. Its working principle is to introduce the treated water into the overflow water distributor through the water pipe. After a brief steady flow, the water is evenly overflowed through outlet and distributed on the filter screen of the filter drum rotating at the opposite direction. The water flow and the inner wall of the filter drum prod uce relative shearing motion, and the water passing efficiency is high, and the solid matter is intercepted and separated. Then the water flows along the inner spiral guide plate and discharges from the other end of the filter drum. The waste water filtered from the filter screen flows a way from the water tank directly under the action of the shield on both sides of the filter drum . The machine is equipped with a flushing water pipe outside the filter cylinder, and the mesh is sprayed with pressure water (3kg/cm²) to ensure that the filter screen always maintains good filtering capacity.
III Features

IV Installation
1. Organize the installation personnel to be familiar with the structure, function, and features of the equipment, and pay attention to the requirements of all the technical information.
2. Check the equipment for defects.
3. Construct according to the basic structure drawing, ensure the foundation surface is flat, and the reserved hole spacing and vertical deviation are within 10 mm.
4. Install after the curing period of the foundation. The foundation surface and the spiral hole should be cleaned. The bottom corner bolts should be cleaned with gasoline. The thread part shall be oiled and the bolts are inserted into the bolt holes of the equipment.
5. Put the lifting lug on the top of the equipment into the lifting hook, and lift the whole machine horizontally, and put it in the positive position to ensure the horizontalness of the main shaft and the whole machine is on the same plane.
Move slowly horizontally and place the equipment at the designated place. The inlet and outlet are sealed with flanges and rubber mats and connected corresponding pipes. The cleaning water inlet is sealed to the equipment. Carefully check that the components of the equipment are securely connected and that they are not loose.
6. Perform machine calibration again. The frame level is measured with a precision of 0.05 mm/m, and the horizontality of the device is measured based on the frame, and is allowed to be no more than 0.5 mm/m.
V Running Operation
1. Check whether all the fastening bolts of the machine body are tightened, whether the gear teeth of the transmission gear are suitable, whether the roller support roller is normal, whether the motor wiring is correct, and whether the filter cylinder drives smoothly.
2. Start the motor, observe whether the filter cylinder is running correctly, whether the gear transmission is normal, open the feed valve for 2-4 hours, pay attention to whether there is any abnormality, and whether the rack is stable.
3. Check whether the sprinkler pipe is unblocked before starting the machine.
4. Start the motor spray the water pipe valve, and then open the feed valve.
5. When the machine is shut down, close the feed valve first and clean the net part before closing the spray pipe and finally the motor.
VI Maintenance
1. During the operation, if there are impurities and other windings on the main shaft, it should be shut down and cleaned in time to avoid affecting the normal operation of the equipment and increasing the load of the reduction gear.
2. The speed of the reduction gear should be adjusted according to the amount of slag in the influent water to achieve the maximum working efficiency.
3. The bearing shall be added with lubricating grease (2# calcium base grease) once a week and is injected into the nozzle with a grease gun.
4. The oil of the reducer box need to be added every 1 month and need to be replaced every 3 months.
